Aden Young

ACTOR

Aden Young, born on November 30, 1971, is a Canadian-Australian actor renowned for his role as Daniel Holden in the SundanceTV drama Rectify. This performance earned him two Critics' Choice Television Award nominations for Best Actor in a Drama Series. Young’s career spans American, Canadian, and Australian productions, and as of 2024, he stars as Det. Henry Graff in Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent.
Young was born in Toronto but moved to Australia in 1981. He began acting at 18 in Bruce Beresford's Black Robe and quickly gained international acclaim. He chose to support the Australian film industry, leading roles in Broken Highway and Exile, among others. His portrayal of Psycho Joe in Metal Skin won him critical acclaim and awards.
In addition to film, Young directed and edited several projects, including The Rose of Ba Ziz and music videos. He gained significant attention for his role in Rectify, praised as one of the greatest performances on TV. Young also starred in Don't Tell and had notable roles in Angelique’s Isle and The King Tide. His career showcases a diverse range of compelling performances across different genres.
